Chaffee County boasts three natural hot springs that are open to the public.
Cottonwood Hot Springs, 18666 CR 306, Buena Vista, is about 5½ miles west of U.S. 24.
Several soaking pools of different temperatures and a dry sauna are available.
The pools are open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-midnight Friday-Sunday.
Cost is $20 for adults and $18 for children younger than 16 on Monday-Thursday and $24 for adults and $20 for children younger than 16 on Friday-Sunday.

Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, 15870 CR 162, Nathrop, is about 4½ miles west of U.S. 285 and Nathrop.
The resort has a historic bathhouse and soaking pool and a “cool” pool for laps.
The spa pool on the south side of Chalk Creek is open to hotel and spa guests.
Visitors can also go down to the creek and sit among the rocks where the hot springs flow into Chalk Creek.
The hot springs are open 9 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Sunday.
Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children younger than 16 and seniors 62 and older on Monday-Thursday and $25 for adults and $20 for children 16 and younger and seniors 62 or older on Friday-Sunday.
A daily pass to the spa is available for $40 for ages 16 and older.

Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center, 410 W. U.S. 50, Salida, features indoor lap and soak pools as well as small private soak pools for those 18 and older.
Aquatic center hours are 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday.
Cost for lap and soak pools is $11 for adults, $9 for seniors 60 and older and military, $5 for children ages 6-17 and $3 for children 5 and younger.
Cost for private pools is $12 per hour per person and $9 for seniors 60 and older and military.
